About the breed

about doodle puppies

A Doodle is a cross between a Poodle and another dog breed. We have goldendoodles, sheepadoodles and double doodles at Purity Springs Ranch. The original Doodle was a Labradoodle, bred in the early 1980s by Wally Conron.  His goal was to create an allergy-free guide dog for a vision-impaired woman, whose husband was allergic to dog hair.

One of the benefits of a multigenerational TeeterDoodle is that the puppies come from at least four generations of genetically tested, temperamentally sound TeeterDoodles. The first generation parents are AKC registered.

All of our parents have been DNA checked for weaknesses in DNA structure through Embark. The test results are available upon request and are clear of any defects.

Puppies are with mother until eight weeks. During that time we begin the crate training and potty training process. We have a VERY active farm so the puppies get lots of opportunity for socialization on a regular basis!

These dogs also have a reputation for being low shedding, laid-back, good natured, smart, family dogs—the best of both breeds in the mix.

Here at TeeterDoodles, our primary objective is to provide new parents with healthy, well-adjusted pups with calm, loving submissive temperaments.
